TerraMaster Data Recovery
TerraMaster makes inexpensive NAS units and multi-drive enclosures that are popular with home offices.
TerraMaster models we recover
- NAS: F2-210, F2-221, F2-223, F2-423, F4-210, F4-421, F4-223, F4-423, F5-221, F5-422
- Enclosures: D2-310, D4-300, D5-300, D5 Thunderbolt 3, D8 Hybrid
How these fail
- TRAID and standard RAID. Both sit on Linux RAID and can be rebuilt from drive images.
- Enclosures in RAID 0 or RAID 5. The RAID is created by the enclosure’s own controller, so moving the drives to another case will not read them.
- System will not start. TOS is stored on the drives themselves; reinstalling it risks the data.
Before you send it
- Switch the device off and leave it off.
- Do not format, initialize or run repair tools.
- For a NAS, RAID or server, send every drive, numbered by bay or slot.
- Tell us which files or folders matter most.
Questions
My D5-300 enclosure died. Can I use the drives elsewhere?
Not directly if they were in RAID. We image the drives and rebuild the array.
Should I reinstall TOS?
Not until the data has been recovered.
Book a visit or a pickup
Call us or book online and tell us the make, the model and what is going wrong. For IT support a technician comes to your home or office. For a repair we pick the computer up from your door, fix it at our own workshop in Burbank and bring it back. We have no storefront, so there is nowhere to drop a machine off. Outside our area, you can mail it to us.
