SanDisk Data Recovery
SanDisk makes almost every kind of flash storage: portable SSDs, internal SSDs, USB sticks and memory cards.
SanDisk models we recover
- Portable SSDs: Extreme Portable (SDSSDE60, SDSSDE61), Extreme Pro Portable (SDSSDE80, SDSSDE81)
- Internal SSDs: SSD Plus (SDSSDA), Ultra 3D (SDSSDH3), Extreme Pro
- USB drives: Cruzer Blade (SDCZ50), Cruzer Glide (SDCZ60), Ultra (SDCZ48), Ultra Flair (SDCZ73), Ultra Fit (SDCZ430)
- Memory cards: Ultra, Extreme and Extreme Pro SD and microSD cards, CompactFlash and CFexpress
How these fail
- Extreme Portable SSDs. Some 2TB and 4TB drives made around 2023 were widely reported to drop out and lose data. If yours disconnects by itself, stop using it.
- USB sticks. The connector breaks off, or the controller chip fails. The memory chip usually survives.
- Memory cards. Photos vanish after a card error or an accidental format. Do not take more pictures on the card.
Before you send it
- Switch the device off and leave it off.
- Do not format, initialize or run repair tools.
- For a NAS, RAID or server, send every drive, numbered by bay or slot.
- Tell us which files or folders matter most.
Questions
My SanDisk card says it needs to be formatted. Should I?
No. Take it out of the camera and stop using it.
Can you recover a snapped USB stick?
Often. If the circuit board is intact, the connector can be repaired or the chip read directly.
Book a visit or a pickup
Call us or book online and tell us the make, the model and what is going wrong. For IT support a technician comes to your home or office. For a repair we pick the computer up from your door, fix it at our own workshop in Burbank and bring it back. We have no storefront, so there is nowhere to drop a machine off. Outside our area, you can mail it to us.
