SD Card and Memory Card Data Recovery
Card errors tend to happen at the worst time: after a wedding, a shoot or a trip. Photos and video are usually still on the card.
Cards we recover
- SD, SDHC and SDXC
- microSD, from cameras, drones, action cameras and dash cams
- CompactFlash, CFast and CFexpress
- XQD and Sony SxS
What goes wrong
- “Card error” or “Cannot access card” in the camera
- Photos deleted, or the card formatted
- The card is not detected, or shows 0 bytes
- Video files that will not play after an interrupted recording
- Cracked or water-damaged cards
The one rule
Stop shooting on the card. New photos overwrite the old ones, and that is the one thing that cannot be undone.
Video
Video is harder than photos because large files are stored in pieces. Tell us the camera and the recording format, and we rebuild the clips where the pieces can be found.
Questions
I formatted the card in the camera. Are the photos gone?
Usually not, if nothing has been recorded since.
Do you recover drone and GoPro footage?
Yes, including clips that will not play after a crash or a dead battery.
Book a visit or a pickup
Call us or book online and tell us the make, the model and what is going wrong. For IT support a technician comes to your home or office. For a repair we pick the computer up from your door, fix it at our own workshop in Burbank and bring it back. We have no storefront, so there is nowhere to drop a machine off. Outside our area, you can mail it to us.
