Passwords and Account Security
A reused password is the cheapest way into a business. Fixing that is not expensive and does not need anyone to remember forty passwords.
What we put in place
- A password manager for the whole team
- Two-step sign-in wherever it is offered
- Separate administrator accounts, used only for administration
- Shared logins replaced with individual ones
- A list of who has access to what
New hires and departures
New staff get the access their job needs and no more. When someone leaves, every account is closed or handed over that day: email, cloud storage, remote access and the door code to the server.
The accounts people forget
- The domain registrar and DNS
- The router and Wi-Fi
- The backup service
- Banking and payroll
- Social media
Questions
Are password managers safe?
Far safer than reused passwords. One strong password and two-step sign-in protect the rest.
What about former employees who still know passwords?
We find and reset those as part of the first check.
Book a visit or a pickup
Call us or book online and tell us the make, the model and what is going wrong. For IT support a technician comes to your home or office. For a repair we pick the computer up from your door, fix it at our own workshop in Burbank and bring it back. We have no storefront, so there is nowhere to drop a machine off. Outside our area, you can mail it to us.
