G-Technology and SanDisk Professional Data Recovery
G-Technology drives, now sold as SanDisk Professional, are another staple of production and post-production work.
G-Technology and SanDisk Professional models we recover
- Single drive: G-DRIVE, G-DRIVE USB-C, G-DRIVE mobile, G-DRIVE ArmorATD, G-DRIVE ev
- RAID: G-RAID, G-RAID 2, G-RAID with Thunderbolt 3, G-SPEED Shuttle, G-SPEED Studio
How these fail
- G-RAID. These normally ship as RAID 0. A single failed drive takes the volume offline, and both drives are needed.
- G-SPEED Shuttle. Usually RAID 5. Do not rebuild or re-initialize it after a second drive drops.
- Mac formatting. Most are formatted for Mac (HFS+ or APFS), which we recover as a matter of course.
Before you send it
- Switch the device off and leave it off.
- Do not format, initialize or run repair tools.
- For a NAS, RAID or server, send every drive, numbered by bay or slot.
- Tell us which files or folders matter most.
